AHCC® is a patented extract of shiitake mycelium concentrated to 19% highly bioavailable and active alpha-1,4-glucans. It has been the subject of numerous scientific studies, including 10 Clinique studies. AHCC® supports the body's immune defences.
AHCC® is obtained using an innovative process involving the cultivation of shiitake mycelia in a liquid medium, allowing natural fermentation to take place. During fermentation, enzymes hydrolyse certain polysaccharides into low molecular weight alpha-1,4-glucans (<5KDa>).
