- The Heather ( Calluna vulgaris (L.) Hull). La Bruyère is widespread in Europe. Its pretty purple flowers enliven the sea cliffs at the end of summer. In herbal medicine, it is precisely its flowers that are used to promote the elimination of water, thus contributing to the proper functioning of the urinary system.
