Blond Me Psyllium, scientific name Plantago ovata, or Ispaghul, is a plant native to India and the Middle East. Psyllium seeds are harvested from several plants in the plantain family: Plantago ovata, Plantago ispaghula, Plantago psyllium. Plantain is widely produced in Europe, India and South America.
The Egyptians, 10 centuries BC, consumed this plant to naturally regulate their intestinal transit.
Taking Psyllium helps to increase your daily fibre intake. Psyllium has been scientifically proven to help regulate intestinal transit gently.
Psyllium helps to soften stools by retaining the water in food, which helps to speed up transit.
Conversely, Psyllium also has the ability to transform the water in stools into a gel, making them more consistent, which helps to slow transit.
Psyllium helps maintain optimal intestinal function and has a regulating effect. It is useful in cases of intestinal sluggishness, but also when transit is too rapid. It thus contributes to intestinal comfort.

How to use it
Take 1 to 3 level teaspoons a day mixed in a large glass of water, preferably with meals. Consume as soon as possible before the gel forms.

Ingredients for 3 level teaspoons: Psyllium (tegument of Plantago ovata Forssk.) 6 g.
For adults only. Make sure you are well hydrated. Pregnant or Milk feeding women may take Psyllium if a change of diet has proved ineffective. In the event of swallowing disorders, undiagnosed rectal bleeding and inability to defecate linked to the use of a laxative, in the event of abnormal narrowing of the gastro-intestinal tract, in the event of oesophageal and cardiac diseases, a potential or existing intestinal blockage, intestinal paralysis or megacolon, do not consume this food supplement. Risk of gastro-intestinal obstruction, do not consume Psyllium with medicines known to inhibit peristaltic movements (e.g. opioids). Delayed absorption of minerals such as calcium, iron and zinc, vitamins such as vitamin B12, and medicines, particularly cardiotonic heterosides, coumarin derivatives and lithium.
Recommendations for use
Psyllium should be taken at least 60 minutes apart from medication. This product is a dietary supplement. A dietary supplement should not replace a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of young Children. In the event of medical treatment, consult your doctor. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
