Composition: M-HA®10 is composed of sodium hyaluronate (10mg/ml) of non-animal origin, obtained by biofermentation.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
M-HA®10 should not be used in :
- patients with a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars.
- Patients with a history of autoimmune diseases or receiving immunotherapy.
- patients with a known hypersensitivity to Hyaluronic Acid.
- Pregnant or Milk feeding women.
- Patients under 18 years of age.
Patients receiving anticoagulant or platelet aggregation inhibitor treatment (e.g. aspirin) should not be treated with M-HA®10 without consulting their doctor. M-HA®10 must not be used in areas with inflammatory and/or infectious skin lesions (e.g. acne, herpes...). M-HA®10 must not be used in association with laser treatment, chemical peeling or dermabrasion.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
M-HA®10 is not indicated for injections other than intradermal injections.
Do not use if packaging is damaged.
Sensitive skin may be treated beforehand with a patch or an anaesthetic cream.
Please note that anaesthetic products may cause local redness or hypersensitivity. Do not inject M-HA®10 into blood vessels (intravascular). Do not inject M-HA®10 into bones, tendons, ligaments or muscles. Do not inject M-HA®10 into moles (nevi).
Patients should be advised not to apply make-up for twelve hours after the injection, to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and ultraviolet rays, and not to use saunas or steam rooms for one week after the injection.
Interaction with other agents: there are incompatibilities between sodium hyaluronate and quaternary ammonium compounds such as benzalkonium chloride solutions. For this reason, M-HA®10 must never be placed in contact with these substances or with medical-surgical instruments which have been in contact with these substances.
UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Prior to treatment, the patient must be informed about the implant, its contraindications and possible side effects. The adverse effects are as follows (non-exhaustive list):
- minimal bleeding at the injection site, which stops spontaneously and rapidly after injection.
- transient pain or discolouration at the injection site.
- inflammation which may be accompanied by pruritus or pain on pressure for a week after injection.
- indurations or nodules at the injection site.
- erythema without swelling which disappears within a week and, in extreme cases, sometimes after 2 months.
- hypersensitivity to sodium hyaluronate.
WARNINGS
- Check the expiry date on the product label.
- Do not reuse.
- Do not resterilise. After use, the needle must be disposed of in an appropriate safe container.
- Reuse of the product involves risks (e.g. cross-contamination) for the patient.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store M-HA®10 at 2-25°C (36-77°F) in a dry place. Protect from light, heat and freezing and handle with care.
