Used since ancient Egypt, Nigella plant oil has been known for thousands of years and is traditionally used in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Nigella, also known as "Habbatul baraka" meaning "seeds of blessing" in Arabic, was found in Tutankhamen's tomb.
Also known as black cumin oil, it is a concentrate of essential omega 6 fatty acids (45 to 60% linoleic acid), as well as terpene and phenolic compounds such as carvacrol. It is therefore an original plant source whose benefits are widely recognised.
