Originally from Asia, this tropical trees with bright and persistent leaves reach 20 meters high in the wild.
When mature, its yellow flowers produce the best essential oil. Ylang-ylang gives us an essential oil whose fragrance is unanimously appreciated for its warm, floral, exotic, round and feminine notes. It is hardly surprising that it is part of the essential oils which, when inhaled, can modify human behaviour.
Traditionally known for its various properties: • antidepressant, sedative, nerve relaxer • hypotensive, antiarrhythmic • sexual tone, aphrodisiac • anticonvulsant.
Taken via the skin - dilute always: 3 drops of EO + 3 drops of hazelnut VO and massage into the solar plexus or the interior of your wrists or on a painful area.
Fragrance ideas:
- Ylang-Ylang: 2 ml, cedar or Rosewood: 1 ml, in 100ml of 70° alcohol.
- 30 drops of ylang-ylang added to 1 litre of furniture wax will delicately perfume your house.
Only therapists can advise taking it orally. • Skin irritation (dermocaustic) is possible in its pure state.
