How to use it
Wash your hands thoroughly.
1. Unfold the mask
2. Place the mask under your chin, covering your mouth and nose.
3. Adjust the straps for a comfortable fit.
4. Press the flexible nose clip to mould it closely to your nose.
5. To check the fit, place both hands over the mask and exhale forcefully. If air leaks around your nose, tighten the nose clip. If air escapes around the edges, readjust the straps for a better seal. Recheck the fit and repeat until the mask is properly sealed.
How to put on, use, remove, and dispose of a mask
Before putting on a mask, wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
Position the mask to cover your nose and mouth, ensuring a snug fit against your face. Check that no air escapes into your eyes when exhaling sharply.
For FFP masks, perform a seal check: cover the mask’s filter surface with a plastic sheet held in place by both hands. Inhale—the mask should collapse slightly against your face. If it does not, the mask is not sealed properly and needs readjusting.
While wearing the mask, avoid touching it. Do not shift its position. Whenever you handle a used mask, wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
If you need to eat or drink, replace the mask with a new one.
Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it becomes damp. Do not reuse single-use masks.
To remove the mask: if wearing gloves, take them off first and wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
Then, remove the mask from behind (do not touch the front). Dispose of it immediately in a closed bin, or, if it is a reusable public mask, isolate it in a plastic bag until washing. Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
