Psyllium or ispaghul is grown mainly in north-west India, where it has been used traditionally for thousands of years for its functional properties. The seed coat of psyllium is made up of mucilage which swells on contact with water and behaves like a gel in the intestine, increasing the volume of food. It improves intestinal transit and increases the feeling of satiety.

How to use it
Mix 1 tablespoon well with a large glass of Water (100 ml) and drink immediately. It is important to drink plenty of water afterwards to ensure good Hydration (300 ml). Take 3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals. Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.
